Adding Multi-Factor Authentication Methods

As we move your account to a safer environment, it is important that you take the following steps to protect yourself.

To add a new method of MFA to your account you will need to visit the MFA set up link below. If you do not have a MFA method setup already then you will simply need to log into your email and you will be prompted to set up your MFA with the Authenticator app.

On this page select the option for “Add sign-in method”

On the “Add a method page” select the option for “Authenticator App”

Make sure you download and install the Microsoft Authenticator on your personal device. You can find the download on the Play Store, Apple Store or using one of the links below.

Continue through the steps to set up your Authenticator app. For more detailed steps for MFA setup Please follow this link.
Scan the QR code that pops up on the screen using the Microsoft Authenticator app.

Note: You will not be able to scan this code with a generic QR code scanner. You must use the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Once you scan the QR code the account will be added to the authenticator. Click next to continue through a test run to verify that the Authenticator was added correctly.

Once it is verified you may close out of the page.

Removing Multi-Factor Authentication Methods

To remove a method of MFA from your account you will need to visit the MFA set up link below.

On this page select the option to delete a method by clicking “Delete” next to the method you would like to remove.
If you remove a method through the MFA page you will also need to remove it from your phone.

To do so open the authenticator and select the account you would like to remove.

After selecting the account click on the settings cogwheel in the top right corner and then select “Remove account”
