Teams phone delegation allows users to designate other people within the organization to make and receive calls on your behalf.
To add a user as a delegate first launch teams. In the top right corner click on the three dots (…) and select “Settings.”
Under the settings page select “General” and scroll down until you see the option for “Delegation”
Select “Manage Delegates”
On the Delegate setting page click on the text saying “Your delegates”
Type the name of the delegate you would like to assign in the search box and click on the name.
Choose the settings you would like to apply to the chosen delegate.
The options are to allow them to make calls on your behalf, receive calls on your behalf, change the delegate settings for your account, pick up calls that are on hold and join active calls as a delegate.
Once you have the settings that you would like to apply click on “Add.”
The user will be added to the list of delegates
Removing/Editing Delegates
To remove a user from your delegate list or to change their permissions follow the initial steps to get back to the delegate settings page.
From here click on the user you would like to remove or edit and click on the 3 dots that appear on the right side of their name.
Then select the option you would like to apply to the delegate.
