Setting Out of Office Status in Teams

To set an out of office message for a specific time period start by launching the Teams app or going to the Teams client in a web browser.

While in Teams click on your initials or portrait at the top of the screen. Then select the line that says “Set status message”

Note: The message may be cut off if the window is too small. Refer to the image on which line to click.

You can set a quick message for a short time by typing in the box and selecting when the message will be cleared.

To schedule a time out of the office click on the option to “Schedule out of office”

After clicking Schedule out of office turn on the option for “Turn on automatic replies”

From here type out your message in the box and to schedule a specific time check the box for “Send replies only during a time period.”

Click on the dates and times to change the start and end date/time for your out of office message.

Once you have input a message and set the time frame you want this to be enabled click Save.
