Common causes of login issues:

Password:

  • Password has expired and needs reset at https://id.nscc.edu/pwreset/html
    • All NSCC students, staff, and faculty that have not reset their password after 07/15/2024 must reset their password to meet the new minimum requirements.
    • Occasionally, your password may get expired and need reset if unusual sign-in activity is detected.
  • Password does not meet new minimum requirements
    • Requirements:
      • 16 – 20 characters
      • At least 1 upper case letter
      • At least 1 lower case letter
      • At least 1 number or symbol
        • Allowed symbols
          • ‘ – ! ” # $ % & ( ) * , . / : ; ? @ [ ] ^ _ ` { | } ~ + < = >
        • Cannot include
          • Name or part of name
          • Previously used password

Username:

  • NSCC is migrating logins to Microsoft, which uses your full email address as the username
    • Example: jdoe1@my.nscc.edu
  • Email username login is currently available for:
    • Campus computer
    • Campus Wi-Fi
    • Email
    • Linkedin Learning
    • Online library databases

Wi-Fi

    • Newer devices now have an option called TOFU (Trust on First Use) to use for the security certificate setting.
  • Try moving to a different area for a stronger signal
