Saving Emails From Student Inbox

Saving Emails By Forwarding

If you only need to save a few emails and not your entire inbox then simply click on the email you would like to save and click the “Forward” button. This way you can send important emails you would like to keep.

Do this for every email you would like to save.

Saving Emails By Syncing - Step 1 Exporting

In order to Sync your emails you will need to install the application version of Outlook. You can do so using the instructions below.

Install Microsoft Office instructions.

Once Outlook is installed, launch Outlook and log in using your NSCC email address and credentials.

Click on file in the top left corner and then select the option for “Open & Export” and then select “Import/Export”

This will start the Import/Export wizard. To save you will need to select “Export to a file” and then select the option for “Outlook Data File (.pst)”

Select the inbox or account you would like to save and click “Next”

By default outlook will save this file in your documents folder but if you would like to change the location click “Browse…”

Otherwise click finish to export.

Note: This may ask you to use an optional password. If you do not want to use a password leave both fields blank and select ok.

Saving Emails By Syncing - Step 2 Importing

Launch Outlook and log in using your NSCC email address and credentials.

Click on file in the top left corner and then select the option for “Open & Export” and then select “Import/Export”

In the import/export wizard select the option for “Import from another program or file” and then select “Outlook Data File (.pst)”

Click browse to find and select the previously saved .pst file. Once it is selected click “Next”

On the next page if you set a password it will ask for it. Once you have entered your password select the option for “Finish” and your data will be imported into Outlook.
